The Division of Information Technology was established in 1995 with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Information Technology. The Division was the pioneer in starting broad-based B.Tech Degree in Information Technology in the country. To keep up with its motto of continuous innovation and growth, a master’s programme M.Tech in Software Systems was started in 2012. The Division conducts cutting-edge research in core and emerging areas of the field and leads a broad range of multi-disciplinary initiatives that demonstrate the transformative power of computing. Today when we celebrate our 27th year we are proud of producing young outstanding engineers who are leaders in the field of Information Technology worldwide.
The division aims to prepare young minds for the challenging opportunities in the IT industry with a global awareness, nourished and supported by experts in the field. With a team of dedicated, experienced, and qualified faculty members, the division has witnessed tremendous growth in academics and research. Well-equipped labs provide opportunities to students to evaluate and sharpen their hands-on skills. The students enjoy the interactions with foreign universities through exchange programmes and internship opportunities. The campus is vibrant with a lot of co-curricular activities helping to bring out all-rounded individuals.
