The Mechanical Engineering Division established in 1995 is by far the largest of the SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING in terms of faculty size and facilities available. The course curriculum of Mechanical Engineering is constantly reviewed and revived to adapt to ever changing requirements and to satiate the needs of both national and international industry. The present course is moulded keeping in view, the growing demand for integration of modern advances in electronics and computer technology into the mechanical field.The division is strive to educate students as the next generation of engineers capable of becoming leaders in industry, government and academia. It is evident from the fact that all of our students get selected into topmost MNCs from campus placement itself and many of them opt for higher studies in world renowned institutes both in India and abroad.
Field Visit to Sophisticated Test and Instrumentation Centre (STIC)
A field visit for students of School of Engineering was organised by IIC and MESAC on 21st November 2023. The main objective of conducting of a field visit is to collect detailed information on the advanced testing facilities available at the STIC.
MESAC conducted the placement training session by Pragmatix Learning for students of School of Engineering on 4th November 2023. Topics on Resume building, Group discussion and Aptitude training was detailed.
An Induction program was lucratively organized by MESAC for the freshman year Mechanical Engineering students 2023 admission on September 26th 2023. The official function was followed by visit to all labs under the department
The SAE CUSAT chapter conducted an engaging workshop on a Mini Cooper BMW Engine on 23rd February 2023.
The Erudite Scholar In Residence Program
Dr. Ramesh Narayanaswamy Deputy Head of School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Curtin University, Perth, Australia will be available in Division of Mechanical Engineering, SOE, CUSAT as part of scholar in residence program funded by Kerala State Higher Education Council from 28/11/2022 to 09/12/2022
