Industry Interaction Cell (IIC)
About
IIC SOE, CUSAT was established in the academic year 2021 by the Head of the Institution, Prof. (Dr) George Mathew. The President of the IIC SOE chapter is Prof. (Dr) K.K Saju. In the academic year 2020-2021, we participated in IIC 3.0 and secured two stars. During the academic year 2021-2022, we actively participated in IIC 4.0 and conducted around 40 programs including IIC-driven, MIC-driven, Self-driven and activities in the theme- Startup Innovation Entrepreneurship & IPR, and secured Three stars. We were one among the selected colleges to conduct the Impact lecture series and successfully organised Four different session under the scheme. Field Visit to Sophisticated Test and Instrumentation Centre (STIC)

A field visit for students of School of Engineering was organised by IIC and MESAC on 21st November 2023. The main objective of conducting of a field visit is to collect detailed information on the advanced testing facilities available at the STIC. STIC provide the actual users from academic institutions, R&D establishments, and industries with advanced instrument facilities for analysis, testing measurement and calibration.

On 23 February 2023, a workshop was conducted by BMW for the students of School of Engineering, CUSAT. The workshop involved dismantling and reassembling a BMW 4 cylinder engine and was conducted by experts in the field.
POSTER DESIGNING COMPETITION

nstitution’s Innovation Council, SOE - CUSAT under the coordination of Civil Engineering Division, conducted a poster designing competition in connection with National Youth Day on 28 February 2023, 1pm to 2.30pm at SOE Auditorium. The topic of poster design was ‘Role of Youth in Sustainable Development’. Seven teams were participated and posters were evaluated by Dr. Biju N (Professor, ME Dept.), Dr. Unni A M (Professor, EC Dept.) and Ms. Tintu M Joy (Assistant Professor, CE Dept.).
Workshop on Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behavior Development

On the 16th of January 2023, a full-day workshop was organized by D. Sheena Mathew, Professor at CUSAT, Minu Poulose, Assistant Professor at CUSAT, and Ajnas N B, student organizer at CUSAT. The workshop was held at the SOE Auditorium, CUSAT and attracted attendees from both within and outside the university.
